Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary

It turns out that Jacob joined the Cub Scouts in a monumental year. This year is filled with many events and activities for the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, but nothing is as big an event as the Blue and Gold 100th Anniversary Gala; held throughout the U.S. during the month of February.
Jacob and Trina entered the parent-scout cake-making contest, and to our surprise, Jacob's entry won for the "most extreme" cake decoration. Suffice it say, many other scouts were taken to it as well, an M&M-covered castle cake.

Jake's Star-Spangled First Grade Celebration

Jacob and his fellow first graders at Hutchison Farms ES performed together for this winter's school presentation. The theme was all about the "red-white-and-blue", apple pie, the Statue of Liberty, and America the Beautiful.
Jacob was tasked to memorize several lines and recite it to hundreds of parents, siblings, and HFES faculty staff. I think I was more nervous for Jacob, but he recited his lines, sang his songs, and performed his dance moves all too well. That's our boy!
