It was a big weekend for Trina. She started Saturday, alongside Kappa, in Washington D.C. for the Susan Komen 5k walk/run. Despite the oppressive heat and sweaty crowd, Trina and Kappa finished the charity race and helped raised over $300 in honor of Aunt Sydney. It was just unfortunate that a sickly Metro rider threw up in the subway, and well, let's just say, Trina received "collateral damage."
Later that day, we celebrated Trina's and Sean's birthday with a barbecue at our home. Instead of your run-of-the-mill birthday gift, the next day, Trina spent the whole day at the (Red Door) spa. There she was pampered with a facial, haircut, pedicure, and manicure. All the while, I spent the day with the boys at the Fair Oaks playground and Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum. We finished the weekend with a dinner at the Koji Japanese steakhouse. Happy Birthday Mommy!
